As a Counselor, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to individuals in need. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, as well as expertise in various therapeutic techniques and counseling modalities. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions
  • Perform patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient needs
  • Utilize various therapeutic techniques, such as psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and applied behavior analysis
  • Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive change
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed
  • Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of counseling

Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Counselor (CACII)
  • Must be able to obtain certification as a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) within eighteen (18) months
  • Bachelors degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience in coding for insurance billing purposes is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with healthcare systems
  • Familiarity with addiction treatment modalities, including individual counseling, group therapy, and family therapy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with co-occurring disorders, trauma survivors, and individuals with PTSD
  • Proficiency in conducting patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
